Since Pook-a-looz are released somewhat randomly, it’s hard to know what’s coming out when. Here’s some of the rumors that are spinning about right now. Feel free to share what you’ve heard in the comments!

No longer a rumor! Alien was released in Japan (so far exclusively!) as a Puppet Plush in November 2010. NO word yet, though, if Alien is going to make it to the US.

Ariel showed up on one of the Wallpapers posted to the Disney Living Facebook Page. (You can see her in the upper left hand corner of the first Pook-a-looza Wallpaper.) In June 2011, she also showed up on a ton of stationery released in Japan. Is a plush on the way this summer?

Aurora was a super surprise when she showed up on Japanese stationery in June 2011, making it look like Japan might been getting a slew of Princess Pook Plush this summer.

Disney Living’s Facebook Page held a poll of five contenders for the newest Pook-a-looz. Belle was one of them. Finally, in June 2011, she started to show up on stationery in Japan. Hopefully she’ll be coming out as a plush in the near future!

Gepetto was tentatively announced back in September 2010 and was slated for a release later that year. Unfortunately, there’s been no word since! He did, however, start to show up on stationery in Japan in June 2011, which usually means a plush is upcoming.

Jesse showed up on one of the Wallpapers posted to the Disney Living Facebook Page. You can see her here. She also was made into a Metal Keychain with Woody and Buzz, making her appearance as a Plush in the future seem promising!

Jiminy Cricket
Jiminy showed up on the “Create Your Own Pook-a-looz Shirt” campaign that Disney did back in May 2010. He was one of the designs to choose from. No word yet if he’ll become a Pook-a-looz Plush yet, but Pinocchio definitely needs his buddy. Japan put him on some of their stationery in June 2011, so keep your eyes peeled for a plush release overseas.

The only thing more surprising than Lilo showing up on stationery in Japan in June 2011, is the fact that they haven’t made her sooner! Japan loves Lilo and Stitch the most of all Disney movies and we’ve already seen Stitch, Angel and Scrump released an sell out at record speed. It was only a matter of time before Lilo joined the crew. Rumor has it she’ll be coming out as a plush this summer!

Simply called, “Minnie”, we first saw the in-color, blue dress version of Steamboat Willie Minnie on the Disney Pook-a-Looz website. There was no store listed for where to buy her or any availability information. A couple months later, she appeared on the Duvet Cover and Sham, giving some hope a Plush might be on the way. In March 2011, the most exciting developments happened in Japan, where Minnie showed up as a Pencil Pouch, Key Holder and Pencil Topper. Is a 12 inch plush in the works? Maybe! In the meantime though, she was released as a 25 inch plush (aka HUGE Pook) in May 2011 in Japan.

Steamboat Willie Pete
Pete showed up in the most unlikely of places, on one of the Disney Family Craft Sheets! You can make a Shrink Charm of him for now until we get a Plush. He’d be a super cute addition to Steamboat Willie Mickey and Minnie (just look at that face)!

NO LONGER A RUMOR! Stitch was released on April 22nd, 2011 at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Check out this blog post for more information!
Stitch was originally announced on Disney Living’s Facebook Page, who held a poll of five contenders for the newest Pook-a-looz. Stitch was the winner, but we still have yet to see him in stores! Japanese websites, however, show he will be released there in April 2011.

Timothy Mouse
Timothy Mouse showed up on one of the Wallpapers posted to the Disney Living Facebook Page. You can see him with Dumbo here. (He’s at the very bottom.) Timothy Mouse has also been printed all over the new Pook-a-Looz stationery released in Japan in June 2011, making us wonder if a plush version is in the works.

Disney Living’s Facebook Page held a poll of five contenders for the newest Pook-a-looz. Tron was one of them. The picture is from a fan taken at a Disney sale of prototypes. Meaning that they most likely either scrapped the idea or made new designs. Let’s hope for a release with the DVD / Blu-Ray!

White Rabbit
Disney Living’s Facebook Page held a poll of five contenders for the newest Pook-a-looz. White Rabbit was one of them and would make a great addition to the already released Alice in Wonderland series: Alice, Cheshire Cat, Queen of Hearts and Mad Hatter.

    Hey Momo,
Lindsey and I were just at Disney World this past week and saw lots of Pooks. They had Stitch, Sulley, Pirate Mickey, Safari Mickey, Miss Piggy and tons of others. They had them at all the parks and World of Disney. We looked all over Epcot for Figment, but could not find him, they even checked in the back. So he’s definitely sold out. That stinks becase all Pooks are still 40% off. They even had a 20 inch Goofey and Parks Mickey. They were so cute Lindsey got both.

Thanks so much for the update, Lisa! Sorry you couldn’t find Figment, I heard that he might be sold out but how sad to hear it’s true. 🙁

The sale is so amazing, isn’t it? I hope they keep it going for awhile. I’ve never heard of a 20 inch Goofy, how cool! I’ll have to post on the blog about it (and definitely try to get one myself), thanks for the tip. 🙂

  8. Momo, are you sure Figment is sold out?

    June 18, 2011 at 1:58 pm

    • Momo

Hey again Gavin! Unfortunately, yes. After Lisa’s comment about how she couldn’t find Figment at all, I called Walt Disney World. They checked their computers and said they were completely out of stock and Figment was discontinued. 🙁 Super sad news. A couple of people have him on eBay if you want to try there, he usually goes for around $35. Good luck and thanks so much for coming back to the site! 🙂

if you could get any nightmare before cristmas pookalooz what would it be?

    September 4, 2011 at 12:45 pm

    • Good question! I really like Sally, they did a great job with her patchwork dress. I wish they would make a Zero Pook-a-Looz, though, he’s my favorite Nightmare Before X-mas! Which Pook do you like the best (or wish they would make)?

      September 4, 2011 at 2:10 pm

      • pookalooz lover

i have to agree with you about sally! im thinking about sewing a dress based on the sally dress. zero is so cute and i wonder how they would make zero cuter. my favorite pook has to be for right now the Jack pook! im still really into alice in wonderland and i was wondering what is your favorite alice in wonderland pook?

        September 19, 2011 at 1:49 pm

        • I totally agree, Jack is crazy cute! That’s awesome that you’re thinking about making a Sally dress, I say go for it, that would be so fun to make and wear!

Hmmm… it’s really hard to pick a favorite Alice in Wonderland Pook, they are all so cute! Even though I love how adorable Alice is, I think the Queen of Hearts might be my favorite. She’s so creatively designed with her swirlly eyes, heart tongue and cute little crown! I think they really did a nice job with her, she translated well into Pook-a-Looz form.

Which is your favorite of the Alice in Wonderland bunch? Any other characters you wish they would make?

I was at WDW last week & the pook-a-looz were no where to be found. I asked but it seems like they recently took them out of the parks & even Downtown Disney 🙁 The only one I saw was Yeti at Animal Kingdom. I might check the disney store here in nyc, but i doubt they will have them.

    November 13, 2011 at 5:25 pm

    • Oh no! It’s so sad that they are disappearing… did you have any luck at the NYC Disney Store?
